The CEA works to strengthen the island - wide network of environmental pioneers through the environmental pioneer commissioners while integrating all schools to this program.

Environmental camps have been organised district wise for environmental pioneers. Environmental camps were held in Matara and Matale centering the Sinharaja and Knuckles forest ranges.

The Hambantota environmental camp will be held at Beliatta Sitinamaluwa Ruhunu Wijayaba National School, the Anuradhapura environmental camp at Mahailluppallama Agriculture Faculty and the Kununegala environmental camp at Kuliyapitiya Central College from October 01 until October 29.
