Experimental brain scanning technology unlocking secrets of the mind

    October 08, 2014

An Indonesian scientist has invented the world’s first brain scanner that can monitor the activity of the human brain in real time. The ground breaking technology could help the scientific world to study the human brain, detect damage and explore the possibility of communication between human brains through the internet.

In a remote laboratory 2 hours from the Indonesian capital, scientists are working to revolutionise brain research. Japan scientist Warsito Purwo Taruno established the Centre for Tomography Research Laboratory in Alam Sutera on the outskirts of Jakarta in 2010. The centre carries out research on the practical application of Electrical Capacitance Volume Topography, an advanced scanning technology using an electrical signal that Warsito patented in 2006.
