President Maithipala Sirisena made a sudden inspection visit to the JR Jayawardena Centre in Colombo 7 on Thursday (28).
The Centre, which comes under the purview of the President's Office was inspected by the President where he inquired about the current status of the Centre and exchanged pleasantries with the staff.
Presidential Secretary P.B. Abeykoon, Secretary of the JR Jayawardena Centre General Nihal Hewage, and Professor K.D. Paranawithana as well as members of the Centre’s board of trustees attended this event.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
