Concessionary loans were granted to 806 Divi Neguma recipients of the Polonnaruwa District. 100 thousand rupees each was also given to 436 Farmer Organizations of the District to reconstruct the minor irrigations that were destroyed by floods.

Expressing his views on this occasion, President Sirisena declared that whatever projects were launched in the country, final target should be to pass on its benefits to the people.
