    President Rajapaksa Attends Opening Session of the 69th UNGA General Debate

    President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrives at the United Nations Headquarters for the opening session of the 69th United Nations General Assembly general debate in New York City this morning.

    Accompanying the President are Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management  Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy  Susil Premajayantha, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Dr. Palitha Kohona and Deputy Permanent Representative Maj. Gen. Shavendra Silva.

     

    President Rajapaksa addressed the 69th Session of United Nations General Assembly. This is the seventh occasion he is addressing the UN General Assembly as the President of Sri Lanka.(KH)
