He stated this yesterday in response to a question raised by MP Dullas Alahapperuma.

 

 

Minister said that there is no  decision to close the Mahinda Rajapakshe college in Matara and that construction of the auditorium and the 3 storeyed building in the school would be commenced after receiving necessary funds.  No students have been recommended for admission to Grade 5 or to Grade 1 and all the students have been admitted on the scholarship marks he added.

 

 

At least two schools from each divisional secretariat divisions would be developed with all the physical and human resources under the "Near School-Best School"  concept, further said the Minister.
