“The present government's aim is to bring the benefits of good governance to everyone in society and herald a new beginning for the country" said Minister Ravi Karunanayake presenting the Budget speech in Parliament today.
Special attention will be focused towards developing state enterprises which were neglected and to create more international trade said the Minister.
He further pointed that the Yahapalana Government inherited a crisis-ridden economy with an increasing debt burden created by the previous government.
