    Instructions to operate Ayurvedic Hospitals in the Eastern Province as Covid-19 Treatment Centers

    Governor of Eastern Province, Anuradha Yahampath has directed the Provincial Commissioner of Ayurveda to operate Ayurvedic Hospitals in the Eastern Province as Covid-19 treatment centers with immediate effect.

    Accordingly, 283 Ayurvedic emergency treatment beds will be reserved for Covid-19 patients in the Eastern Province.

    Thus, 50 beds at Base Ayurvedic Hospital Kappalthurai in Trincomalee, 48 beds at District Ayurvedic Hospital Nilaveli, 60 beds at Base Hospital of Ayurveda in Puthukkudiyiruppu, 30 beds at Base Ayurvedic Hospital in Eravur, 30 beds at Werangoda, Ampara Ayurveda Hospital, 30 beds at Nintavur Ayurveda Hospital and 30 beds at Base Ayurveda Hospital, Addalaichenai are reserved for Covid-19 patients in this regard.
