All national education institutes, teacher centers and teaching colleges throughout the country will reopen on April 20th, the Education Ministry stated.
The holidays given to these establishments has been extended until April 19th and is scheduled to reopen on the 20th.
The Education Ministry has taken this step taking into consideration the current Covid-19 threat in the country and the safety of the students and other members of the society.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
News.lk publishes in three languages – Sinhala, Tamil and English.
