Sixty eight luxury buses will be purchased to the fleet of buses by Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation. As the first step of this project, 17.1 worth per bus, 9 Kinglong Model buses will be shipped to Sri-Lanka by Xiamen Kinglong United Automotive Industry of China on next Wednesday and those buses are allocated for six bus depot, Maharagama, Central Bus stand, Katubedda, Polonnaruwa, Mawanella and Matale.
The model type of imported Kinglong buses from China is XMQ-6127-CY. The number of seats containing in each bus are 51.
