The reason for this is to reduce costs and also make the minimum disruption to the development work that is being done at present said Health Minister, Co Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratna.

He made these comments at the weekly cabinet press briefing held at the Parliament today (10th Aug.).

Most probably, the election will be held at the beginning of next year, said the minister.
