U.S Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Catherine Russell, who is currently on an official visit to Sri Lanka from 27th -29th October 2015 met with Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs yesterday (28).
Ambassador Russell also held talks with Chandrani Bandara, Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs.
The discussions centered on strategies to advance women’s economic empowerment , issues related to gender based violence and women’s inclusion in peace and security
