They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest with special emphasis on the joint naval exercise. During the discussions, the Commander of the Navy conveyed his appreciation for accepting Sri Lanka Navy’s invitation to participate in the six-day naval exercise as it is mutually beneficial to both the Navies in maintaining maritime security in the region.
Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill and long lasting friendship at the conclusion of the discussions.
The Deputy Chief of Staff and Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro and Defence Adviser of the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, Captain Prakash Gopalan were also present on the occasion.
