The Presidential Commission probing complaints regarding missing persons has commenced recording evidence at the Valachchenai Divisional Secretariat.
The Commission on Missing Persons held sittings at Kalawanchikudi and Wellawali Divisional Secretariat Divisions on Sunday to record evidence.
The sittings took place under the patronage of its Chairman Maxwell Paranagama.
The Commission said it recorded evidence from 178 persons on Sunday.
The Commission earlier held its previous Public Sittings in Northern and Eastern Provinces covering Jaffna, Mannar and Trincomalee Districts.
