A national programme will be launched to uplift the standards of prison hospitals,Director General, Health Services, Dr. Palitha Maheepala said.
According to Dr. Mahipala, a special discussion was held recently to investigate the quality of health services at the prison hospitals Magazine,Welikada and Remand Prisons.
The discussion centred around the improvement of the human and physical resources available at the hospitals.
