The Central Bank of Sri Lanka will open a regional office in the former rebel stronghold of Kilinochchi in the Northern Province. The Bank will open the branch in Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi on Wednesday (May 06).
Minister of Resettlement, Reconstruction and Hindu Affairs D M Swaminathan and Deputy Minister of Policy Planning, Economic Affairs, Child, Youth & Cultural Affairs Harsha De Silva on an invitation of the Governor of the Central Bank will declare open the regional office at an auspices time on Wednesday
