    Motorists should drive patiently Featured

    It has been observed that around 115 road accidents occur in the country daily and about eight to 10 persons die, while 35 to 50 people receive serious injuries and more persons receive minor injuries, Horana Police Traffic Unit OIC J.P. Wedisinghe said.

    Addressing a training programme for school traffic wardens at the Horana Sri Pale Maha Vidyalaya recently.he said although more than 30,000 kms of main roads in the country were carpeted and well constructed, there is no reduction in road accidents.

     

    He appealed to the motorists to drive their vehicles patiently thinking of road users to avoid road accidents,.
