    March 20, 2015

Daya Aviation, one of the Daya Group’s subsidiaries, has introduced a brand new Airbus Helicopter EC130T2 to Sri Lanka – making it one of the largest helicopters available in the country for commercial services to the country.

“This marks a tremendous milestone in the company’s 11-year growth,” Daya Aviation said. With the addition of the new helicopter, Daya Aviation will be the only IATA-approved aviation company in Sri Lanka offering both fixed wing and helicopter charter services under one roof,” Chairman Daya Group of companies Daya Gamage said.

It can accommodate seven passengers including the pilot. Its services can be obtained by local as well as foreign tourists.

It was revealed at this function that the helicopter can be used for news coverages, taking photographs and recording video footages and for ambulance service.

The new chopper was launched by the President Maitripala Sirisena at Waters Edge Battaramulla.
