The Mahasangha led by Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada Ven. Bengamuve Dhammadinna Nayaka Thera will offer the morning Buddha puja at the mahamaluva on the Sri Pada peak today to mark the beginning of the offerings to the relics of Buddha placed in the shrine room.

The carrying of the Relics and Sacred Objects commenced from the Galpottawala Raja Maha Vihare in Pelmadulla. The procession carrying the sacred objects is proceeding on two routes. After reaching the Sri Pada Vihare along the Hatton Road and the Palabaddala Road in Ratnapura, the Sacred Objects will be placed in the Uda Maluwa.

These activities commenced amidst religious observances.
