Parallel to the 2015 Deyata Kirula National Development Program, the Economic Development Ministry has taken steps to speed up the development activities in the Galle, Matara, Hambantota and Ratnapura districts.
According to the ministry, Livelihood and economic development projects will receive priority.
Attention also will be paid for the provision of infrastructure facilities such as drinking water supply, rural road development and construction of weekly fairs and community centres.
