All dilapidated temples, churches, mosques and kovils in the North Western Province are to be restored.
Accordingly under the first phase, restoration work on 200 dilapidated temples, churches, mosques and kovils in the North Western Province will be carried out under the supervision of Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara. The North Western Provincial Council has allocated a sum of Rs.20 million to carry out these restoration work.
Already work has commenced on several religious places.
