The Ministry of Highways, Ports and Shipping has taken steps to develop road sections covering a length of 64.31 km and to reconstructed 13 bridges in the Central and Uva Provinces.
According to the Ministry sources, below roads are to be developed.
• Kandy - Kirimatiya Road (0.0 - 7.64 km)
• Ampitiya - Gurudeniya Road (0.0 - 2.25 km)
• Nuwara Eliya - Ragala - Udupussallawa Road (19.0 - 46.0 km)
• Welimada - Kirklees Road (0.0 - 17.83 km)
• Avissawella - Hatton - Nuwara Eliya Road (98.9 - 108.49 km)
