This was stated by a high level delegation of the World Food Program in a meeting with Secretary Economic Affairs Division Saleem Sethi in Islamabad.
They said Pakistan contributed four hundred fifty-five thousand metric tons of wheat for calamity affected people in the world while WFP has spent five hundred sixty-one million dollars so far.
The WFP delegates also termed Pakistan as a model for other countries in dealing with crisis at world level.
They also appreciated Pakistan's efforts in the return and rehabilitation of the Temporarily Displaced Persons affected by Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
On this occasion, the Secretary appreciated the role of WFP as a valuable partner in relief and emergency situations in the country.
