    Newly elected BJP Govt. keen to have close relations with Sri Lanka - Dr. Swamy Featured

    Replying to a question asked by Hudson Samarasinghe, SLBC Chairman on Monday (19) Dr. Subramanium Swamy,(former Minister and Member of BJP-India) representing BJP reiterated that the newly elected BJP government is keen to have close relationship with Sri Lanka.

    Dr Subramanium Swamy (former minister & member of BJP – INDIA) was interviewed by Hudson Samarasinghe, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation on it's programme "Dasa Desin" on Monday (19).


    Dr. Swamy further said that India will continue to support in development, reconciliation and resettlement activities. and added that India has been a long time development partner of Sri Lanka. After the end of hostilities in 2009, India has helped Sri Lanka to rebuild the infrastructures, resettle the tamil people, building houses in north and east.


    Dr. Swamy also said INDIA and Sri Lanka have very common features including culture, food, clothing, traditions, education, agriculture, fishing and religious practices as well. India has always being supporitng Sri Lanka to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity he added.
