    May 27, 2015

Kuala Lumpur,: Since 2008 and for six consecutive years, Malaysia has been China's top trading partner within the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) and China's third in Asia, after Japan and South Korea, Prime Minister Najib Razak stated yesterday.

Bilateral trade reached a record high of 106 billion USD last year, said Najib, as quoted by local media outlets.

He cited as examples of this broad collaboration the establishment of the Qinzhou China-Malaysia Park, based in China, and another similar one in the city of Kuantan, the capital of Pahang state, in the central part of Peninsular Malaysia.

Najib added that several Chinese real estate companies are investing in the development corridor Iskandar Malaysia, in the Johor sultanate.

Mutual investment is a demonstration of long-term commitment in this long-standing relation.
