    Sri Lanka's Treasury Bills oversubscribed at weekly auction

    The weekly primary auction for the week ending 13 February 2015 for the re-issue of Rs.12,000 million maturing Treasury bills was held today.

    At the weekly primary auction, the re-issue of Rs.12 billion maturing Treasury bills was oversubscribed with bids amounting Rs. 32.525 billion being received, the Sri Lanka's Central Bank said. The Bank has decided to accept Rs. 13.744 billion from the auction.

     

    The one-year Treasury bill rate rose five basis points to 6.10% this week from the previous week's 6.05%. The Bank has accepted Rs. 3.259 billion on one-year T-bills.

     

    Six month tenor bills rate inclined by eight basis points to 5.98% from last week's 5.90% and the three month tenor bills rose by5.88%, from last week's 5.82%.

     

    The Bank accepted Rs. 5.335 billion in 6-month and Rs. 5.130 billion in 3-month bills.
