    Indonesia Suspends Rescue of Air Asia Aircraft

    Indonesia military have suspended today rescue operations to find the wreckage of the Air Asia aircraft, which fell into the Java Sea last December 28th with 162 aboard.

    According to a navy spokesperson, works were suspended after failed attempts to float the aircraft fuselage, located at a 30-meter depth, where most of the victims bodies are likely to be trapped.

     

    So far, diving team have found 70 bodies out of the 162 people who were in the plane at the time of the accident.

     

    The aircraft Airbus 320-320 left the Indonesian city of Surabaya heading for Singapore, and fell as a consequence of severe weather conditions, the source added.
