    Pakistan, Saudi Arabia agree to strengthen ties in diverse sectors

    Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz have agreed to bring the two countries closer in various fields. The agreement came during a meeting in Riyadh on Thursday.

    The Prime Minister also inquired about the health of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and prayed for his early recovery.

     

    The Saudi Crown Prince said the Kingdom is second home to Pakistanis.

     

    The two sides exchanged views on all areas of mutual interest, including economic, defence and security cooperation, export of manpower from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and regional and international issues.

     

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also called on Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in Riyadh. The Prime Minister remained with him for some time and inquired about his health. He prayed for his good health, recovery and long life.

     

    Expressing concern over the health of the King, the Prime Minister said being custodians of the Holy Mosques Saudi leadership has a special place in the heart of every Pakistani. He said Pakistan nation is praying for his speedy recovery and long life of the King.

     

    Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has arrived in Jeddah. He will be performing umrah and also visit Madina Munawarrah to pay homage to Roza Rasool Sallu alaihi Wa alaihi wassalam.

     

    Earlier, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had arrived in Saudi Arabia on a two-day private visit to inquire after the health of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. He was received by Governor Riyadh Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz at the Royal Terminal of Riyadh airport.(PBC)
