    China, Russia Sign Agreement on Western Route of Gas Pipeline

    Beijing: China and Russia signed on Thursday (Nov.13) an agreement for the creation of a western route of the gas pipeline between the two countries, through which will annually pass 20 billion cubic meters of gas for three decades.

    The deal is part of an agreement signed on November 9 between the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and Russia's giant Gazprom and is considered a new step in energy cooperation between the two countries.

     
    Last May, CNPC and Gazprom had also signed two contracts for the purchase and sale of gas imports through the eastern route of the pipeline.
    The China Petroleum Corporation, recalls a statement spread in this capital, and then also establish a cooperation agreement with Rosneft on the project of Vankor oil field.

    This document defined the principles and other terms for the Chinese company acquire part of the shares of Vankorneft, a subsidiary of Rosneft which produced 22 million tons of oil in 2013.(KH/PL)
