According to the source, the little girl -who was in Guinea- was tansferred this Wednesday to a hospital and on Thursday she tested positive for the hemorrhagic fever virus, with high fatality rates.
The girl, whose father is Guinean and died as a consequence of the disease, was brought to this country by her family and remains isolated in the hospital of Fousseyni Daou, in Kayes, a city about 500 kilometers west of the capital.

Today, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone are the countries most affected by the epidemic, while infection is still increasing.
Previously there have also been Ebola patients in Nigeria and Senegal, but in both countries the outbreak could be stopped due to fast-acting. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared both countries disease-free.
