The proposal to get the services of Mackenzie Institute USA was made by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs and it was approved by the cabinet of ministers, said Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunatilleke.

It is important to establish a separate unit to supervise and take corrective measures on development activities for achieving accelerated economic development and to convert the country’s economy into a sustainable socio-economic market.
