Sri Lanka beats England by 157 runs at 2nd ODI

    May 26, 2014

Sri Lanka beat England by 157 runs in the second one-day international in Durham on Sunday to tie the five-match series at 1-1.

Sri Lanka's batting performance was workmanlike in tricky conditions, having been put in. Tillakaratne Dilshan top scored with 88 - his first ODI fifty on English soil - and a sparky contribution from the recalled Ashan Priyanjan, who struck two sixes in a 33-ball 43, revived a flagging innings in the final 10 overs.

Sri Lanka 256-8 (Tillakaratne Dilshan 88, Ashan Priyanjan 43, Kumar Sangakkara 40; Harry Gurney 3-59) def. England 99 all out (Eoin Morgan 40; Sachithra Senanayake 4-13, Nuwan Kulasekara 3-15) by 157 runs.
