The finals of the Inter Regiment Athletic Championship Tournament of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) commenced on Tuesday (14) at Mahinda Rajapakse Stadium, Diyagma.
Major General Channa Goonethileke, Commandant, SLAVF graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Over 600 athletes, representing 20 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams, belonging to more than 100 Volunteer Battalions will compete in the three-day long tournament.
Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva will grace the closing ceremony of the SLAVF Inter Regiment Athletic Championship Tournament on Thursday (16).
