Monsoon rains first shortened the second one-dayer between Sri Lanka A and West Indies A in Dambulla to a 38-over match, before returning in the afternoon to wash the game out, 2.1 overs into the second innings. Earlier, Sri Lanka A seamers had shared seven wickets between them, dismissing West Indies A for 193 in 37 overs.
Sri Lanka A had made eight runs in the first two overs before Dimuth Karunaratne was run out on the first ball of the third over. The rains returned just as captain Lahiru Thirimanne was walking to the crease, and did not ease enough to allow further play.(KH)
