UFPA Colombo District MP Duminda Silva provided financial assistance to veteran artiste Samanthi Lanerolle under his Kala Saviya Programme on Tuesday.
The MP and his supporters visited the artiste at her house in Aturugiriya and met with the actress who had featured in more than 60 movies since 1969.
The Kala Saviya programme has been set up to offer financial assistance to needy artistes, MP Silva said, adding that the programme provides financial assistance to an artiste every month. (Special Reporter/HC)
