Binura Fernando, the 19-year-old left-arm seamer, and Dimuth Karunaratne, the opening batsman, were called up as replacements for Nuwan Pradeep and Suranga Lakmal for Sri Lanka’s second Test against Pakistan, starting at SSC in Colombo on Thursday.
The fast bowlers Nuwan Pradeep, twisted his ankle during a training session, and Suranga Lakmal, was ruled out of the series with an ankle injury.
Sri Lanka Cricket said Shaminda Eranga who sustained a hand injury during the Galle Test against South Africa has also been "nominated" for the match, subject to fitness.
