The national sports festival started on Oct 11th where 1543 sportsmen and women, representing all 9 provinces and 443 officers gathered in the event.

President Sirisena presented trophies to the most outstanding players. Golden Awards were presented to players and to the sports officials who have completed 25 years of service in the field.
