The final Randoli Perahera of the historic Esala Perahera in Kandy successfully paraded the streets last night.
A large number of devotees, pilgrims and foreign visitors including President Maithripala Sirisena and his family, and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe were present to witness the final Randoli Perahera.
The Esala festival conclude this morning with the traditional water cutting rituals in the Mahaweli River at the Gatambay Thotupola amid a large crowd.
