The President instructed to make arrangements for the funeral of Ven. Jinalankara Thero with state honours, and directed the relevant authorities to fully attend to that matter in connection with the funeral. The funeral will take place today (15) at the Dimbulagala Forest Hermitage.

Ven. Maldeniye Jinalankara Thero started living at Dimbulagala Aranya Senasana in the decade of 1960 and committed to uplift the lives of the people in the area, amidst many difficulties. He also was dedicated for the revival of the Buddha Sasana.

Ven. Jinalankara Thero who has been ill for a long period, was 87 at the time of his passing away.
