The President speaking at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Youth Front convention held at the SLFP Head Quarters yesterday further said that all 127 Parliamentarians of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) elected at the 2010 General Elections, were not involved in programmes held at the SLFP Head Quarters for the betterment of the party.
He pointed out that he had made several attempts to bring them together but they were futile. He emphasised that administration, management and the organizational structure of the party should be discussed only at the Head Quarters.
The President urged them to prepare at ground level to contest at the next General Election and form a SLFP government. He reiterated that views and constructive criticisms are very important to achieve this target.
Former President and SLFP Senior Advisor Chandrika Kumaratunga, Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva, SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha, Parliamentarians Shantha Bandara, Eric Weerawardena were present.
