A book titled ‘Janatha Saakkiya’ written by Niroshan Padukka, United National Party Chief Organizer for Western Province was released on Thursday (June 11), under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at Town Hall Auditorium, Piliyandela.
The first copy of the book was handed over to the President by the author.
Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero, Ven. Theeniyavala Palitha Thero, Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera and UNP National Organizer Daya Gamage were among the participants at this event.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
