President Maithripala Sirisena participated at the 15th death anniversary commemoration ceremony of late Minister C.V Gunarathne held at the Youth Services Council in Rathmalana, Sunday evening.
The President speaking at the event said C.V Gunarathna was a disciplined politician and rendered an enormous service to the SLFP.
Late Minister C.V Gunarathne was killed by an LTTE suicide bomber in the year 2000.
Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka, A.H.M.Fowzie, Mohan Lal Grero, Chandana Kathriarachchi and eldest brother of late C.V.Gunarathna Reggie Gunarathna were present.
