President Maithripala Sirisena engaged in an emergency visit to monitor the Maduru Oya Reservoir Saturday (23rd).
The President being the Minister in charge of Irrigation and Water Resources Management, attended to this issue soon as he was informed of the lack of proper maintenance of the reservoir. President also inspected the ancient dam and sluice of the Maduru Oya.
A team including Parliamentarian Anura Priyadarshana Yapa accompanied the President.
