Mr. Feltman earlier met with the Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Ajith P Perera at the Ministry.

During his visit from 28 February to 3 March, Mr. Feltman will meet a range of ministers and government officials to discuss the broad partnership between the UN and the Government of Sri Lanka and will also travel to Jaffna on the 2nd March.

This will be Mr. Feltman's first visit to Sri Lanka, and according to the UN, he looks forward to discussing with Sri Lankan leaders various issues of mutual concern.
