The newly-appointed Commander of the Sri Lankan Army Lieutenant General A.W.J. Crishanthe De Silva Tuesday (24) afternoon paid a courtesy call on President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at the Presidential Secretariat after assumption of office as Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters.
Lieutenant General De Silva signifying the occasion, presented a symbolic memento to the President and received his blessings and best wishes on the appointment.
Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva on Monday (23) assumed office as the 21st Commander of the Army during a ceremony at the Army Headquarters.
