Revision of the Appropriation Act No 41 of 2014 will be made to provide allocations for the new government’s 100 days expeditious programme that is to be implemented and to allocate the funds earmarked for the activities of the 60 Ministries to 31 Cabinet Ministries and 10 State Ministrie. The activities of the previous 60 Ministries are now being carried out by these 31 Cabinet Ministries and 10 State Ministries. The fund allocations will be made in line with the subjects relating to the new Ministries.

The Cabinet of Ministers at the Cabinet Meeting held last week agreed to consider this Draft Bill as an Emergency Bill under clause 122 of the Constitution and to present it to the Parliament

The Parliament sittings are scheduled to be held on Friday (06) and Saturday (07) too.
