The President also offered flowers to the new Buddha Statue at the Vihara. Thereafter the President called on the Chief Incumbent of the Vihara Ven.Mahawela Sri Devarakkhita Jinarathana Nayaka Thero. The members of Maha Sangha led by the Nayaka Thero chanted Jaya Pirith and blessed the President.
The President also exchanged pleasantries with the people of the area who were present at the Vihara. (KH)
