President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed these remarks addressing the fourth election campaign rally in Chilaw, organized by the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) to consolidate the victory of the President at the forthcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday (16).

In spite of heavy rain, massive crowds including Sinhala, Muslim and Tamil people as well as young and the old were present at the Shirley Korea Ground to welcome the President.

Ministers Nimal Siripala de silva, Tissa Vitharana, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Tissa Attanayake, Wayamba Province Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera, Deputy Minister Neomal Perera, Parliamentarian Arundika Fernando addressed the rally.

Ministers Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Dayashritha Thisera, Felix Perera, Milroy Fernando, Johnston Fernando, Priyankara Jayarathna, Deputy Minister Victor Anthony, MPs Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Shantha Bandara also participated. (KH)
