Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa who attended the 18th SAARC Summit spoke about "external threats" to member states over human rights concerns. He said human rights is a moral issue, but used as a political tool and interventions are planned in the guise of HR concerns.
President Rajapaksa pointed out the requirement to pass agreement on energy cooperation, focus on health and sanitation.
Also, the President complimented Modi on India's gift of a satellite for the SAARC region. (KH)
