    Mahindodaya Technical Laboratory at Kuliyapitiya, Kandula Darmaraja Central College Vested with the Students

    President Mahinda Rajapakse said the government is taking measures to upgrade education system in Sri Lanka by increasing IT literacy and language skills among students according to a proper plan. He said with this objective in mind one thousand Mahindodaya Technologica Laboratories are being constructed in schools island-wide.

     

     The President made this statement at the opening of the Technological Laboratory in Kandula Dharmaraja Central College in Kuliyapitiya.

     

    The President also requested the students to take maximum advantage of the  facilities provided by the government. The newly constructed Technological Laboratory has a Computer Laboratory with 40 computers, Language Laboratory with 20 computers, mathematic unit and a Distant Education Centre.

     

    Ministers Bandula Gunawardena, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, North Western Province Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera and Parliamentarian Shantha Bandara were present at the event. (KH)
